Film/Movie Night

Friday, February 24, 6pm – A woman tries to keep up her family lemon grove in the West Bank of the occupied territories of Palestine, while Israeli security deems it a threat.  “Lemon Tree” is based on a true story, a David and Goliath allegory.

Sat, Feb 25, 7pm:  Joseph Bures classical piano recital.  Joseph plays all-Chopin, in honor of Frédéric’s 202nd birthday March 1.

Friday, Feb 24, 3pm – Black History Celebration in the Auditorium with song and spoken word, followed by a Service Provider Fair in lower level Anderson Hall – everyone’s invited!

Sunday, Feb 26, 10am – Rev. Dr. Sharon Ellis Davis, of God Can Ministries, preaches.

Sunday, Feb 26, 2pm – InVox, that fabulous gospel group led by Walt Cunningham, performs in a benefit for the Preston Bradley Center.

Sun, Feb 19, 11:30:  If you would like to participate in services, helping make Sunday a vital spiritual experience for us all, attend the Liturgist Training, led by Seth Fisher.

Sun, Feb 26, 11:30:  All-church potluck lunch follows the service.

Second Friday 

6pm, Taizé Service and reflection

Every second Friday of the month, we begin with a Taizé-style service and discussion.  This is a new tradition from the religious community at Taizé, France, a meditative time of chanting and candles, to calm you down from your hectic week.  We also include short readings and poetry, as food for thought.

7pm, Peoples Church Coffeehouse

After the Taizé service, join us for an hour or so of live music, coffee and Ludie's homemade sweets.  See the Coffeehouse link for who's playing tonight! 

Film Night

Join us for Film/Movie Night, 6pm, the fourth Friday of each month, with a great lineup of  films, rotating among drama, comedy, and documentary. We show a great film, and hold a lively discussion afterwards. 

Classical Piano Recital

At 7pm, usually the fourth Saturday of each month, church pianist Joseph Bures performs a free classical piano recital of dazzling classical numbers from Liszt to Beethoven to Saint-Saens.
